1989 - Charlie Post and Ugly
formed. They were Charlie Post, Steve Roushakes, Tom Downey, Jeff
Compton, and sometimes Nima Majd.
1990 - First release, A Cow and His Man,
Charlie Post and Ugly/UGLY
were at various points Charlie Post, Brian Green, Tom Downey, Jeff
Compton, Chris Carter, Steve Roushakes, Nima Majd, and Hector Gutierrez.
Band begins using the name UGLY for its electric shows. Charlie Post and Ugly is still used for their acoustic shows.
1991 - Sweet Mother Love Meat released on Greyline Records. Ugly were Charlie, Tom,
Brian, and Hector.
1991/1992 - Hector and Brian leave band. Billups Allen, Charlie's old bass player, joins
on percussion and Chuck Campbell becomes the new drummer.
1993 - Hurry Up and Wait released on Greyline Records
1994 - Recorded and released the
Rag EP, and the acoustic CD,
Round Boy Laughing
, both on Victrola Records (later Generalissimo Records). Tom
leaves. Dave Bombere joins on bass.
1995 - Negotiations in
the Smith Room (The Electric CD) is released on Victrola/ Generalissimo.
1996 - Chuck leaves the band and is replaced by little Joe. Dave leaves
the band and is replaced by Steven.
1997 - After 8 years, 6 releases
of some kind, more than a dozen members, and over 300 shows, Ugly unofficially disolves into oblivion.
1999 - Charlie, Bill, Tom, and Chuck play a show as
Ugly the week of Chuck's wedding.
2000 - Chuck get's divorced. Ugly plays another show.
